It’s a time for you to celebrate

December is referred to as a month of multicultural holiday celebration. Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanzaa and 3 Kings day to name but a few!

The count down has begun to one of the biggest religious celebrations in Christianity and we are looking forward to spending times with our loved ones, eating and drinking until our hearts are content.

Many of us will burn the candle at both ends leaving us feeling exhausted, drained and tired looking.

As I embark on one of my busiest periods of the year, I will need to find ways to make sure that I am still able to feel and look my best over this festive period and I wanted to share this.

How can you look and feel your best?

Listen to your body

If your experiencing aches, pains, a runny nose, or feeling a little under the weather, this could just be the case of a little too much.

Know when to stop! Take time out to recover and recharge your batteries. Exercise, meditation or even massage is great way to help you to relax.

Exercise will help to release endorphins and get your heart pumping.   Meditation will help to clear your mind, increase concentration levels and give you greater focus. A Massage is a fantastic way to release tension, help your body eliminate toxins and leave you feeling refreshed.

 Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is a fabulous way of treating the body with essential oils, you have the ability to decide if you want to be uplifted and re-energised or calm or relaxed. Adding a few drop of essential oils to your bath or body lotion can give you the pick me up you need or help you to get a peaceful nights sleep

Fill it with goodness

We all know we operate at our best when we eat and drink the right things. Staying hydrated as we indulge in lots of alcohol, whilst consuming a diet full of nutritional goodness helps to keep our bodies performing at its best.

Keep up the routines

Life gets extremely busy at this time of the year.

Try to ensure that you stick to regular sleeping patterns and exercise. Staying in a routine throughout the festive period will make those new years resolutions much easier to achieve.

Look your best

Late nights and cold weather can take its toll on your skin. A good skincare routine consisting of cleansing and moisturising daily with a weekly exfoliator can help to leave your skin looking fresh throughout this holiday season.
